\tmso-pagination:widow-orphan; \tfont-size:10.0pt; \tfont-family:\"Times New Roman\"; \tmso-ansi-language:#0400; \tmso-fareast-language:#0400; \tmso-bidi-language:#0400;} <\/style>\n\n <![endif]--><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">On Sunday, March 22<sup>nd<\/sup>, United Methodist congregations across the country will receive the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering which supports the work of the United Methodist Committee on Relief.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"> Missouri<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"> has suffered more natural disasters in the past three years than any other state.\u00c2\u00a0 Your Missouri United Methodist Disaster Response Team, headed by Karen Benson, our conference disaster response coordinator, and Jeff Baker, on the Office of Creative Ministries staff, has been hard at work.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"> Our conference efforts have been consistently supported by U.M.C.O.R. or UMCOR as it is often called.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">\u00c2\u00a0 UMCOR is likely the best known acronym in the United Methodist Church.\u00c2\u00a0 Next to Wesley it may be the best known specifically \u00e2\u20ac\u0153United Methodist\u00e2\u20ac\u009d word.\u00c2\u00a0 It stands for United Methodist Committee on Relief. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Every time a major disaster strikes Missouri, UMCOR issues, upon request of our bishop, a $10,000 emergency grant to help begin our recovery process.\u00c2\u00a0 When additional funds are needed UMCOR is there to supply our needs.\u00c2\u00a0 After hurricanes Katrina and Rita when thousands of survivors took up residence in Missouri, Bishop Schnase requested half a million dollars and it was received expeditiously.\u00c2\u00a0 At other times in recent years we have requested grants of $50,000 to aid relief efforts in Missouri like after the tornado that swept through Caruthersville.\u00c2\u00a0 UMCOR has never refused Missouri money in our times of need.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">One Great Hour of Sharing gives us an opportunity to insure that UMCOR is there to help Missouri and other areas of the United   States and the world.\u00c2\u00a0 UMCOR, unlike most of our general church agencies, receives no support from apportionments.\u00c2\u00a0 UMCOR relies totally on the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering for its support.\u00c2\u00a0 Give the members of your congregation the opportunity to reach out through UMCOR by receiving the One Great Hour of Sharing offering on March 22<sup>nd<\/sup>.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><font face=\"Times-Roman\" size=\"4\"><font face=\"Times-Roman\" size=\"4\"><font face=\"MinionPro-Regular\" size=\"3\"><font face=\"MinionPro-Regular\" size=\"3\"><font face=\"Times-Roman\" size=\"4\"><font face=\"Times-Roman\" size=\"4\"><font face=\"MinionPro-Regular\" size=\"3\"><font face=\"MinionPro-Regular\" size=\"3\"><strong>To View MissionCast click on the picture or on one of the links below.<\/strong><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><strong>Download the High resolution video to project on a screen during worship or at a meeting.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;
