On Sunday, May 1, Manchester United Methodist Church members didn’t go to church in their sanctuary, rather they “became the church” in their community.\u00c2\u00a0 Around 1600 hundred of them served in 15 church and community agencies, 6 parks, 4 schools, 5 animal shelters, 7 retirement communities and nursing homes, 2 disaster solicitation centers, 12 community homes.\u00c2\u00a0 The also served by repairing and polishing old bikes for the needy, making all kinds of kits for the poor and those in crisis, making cookies for the fire and police departments and room at the inn program, making community gardens, raking, painting, watering and much, much more.<\/p>\n
