MissionCast – Alternative Christmas Gifts – Heifer International Animals<\/strong><\/em>

Last Christmas Rich gave Carol an alternative Christmas gift.\u00c2\u00a0 It was a pig purchased through Heifer International.\u00c2\u00a0 That pig has given Carol (and Rich) joy the whole year.\u00c2\u00a0 The pig has made it possible for an impoverished family somewhere in the world to improve their life by providing them with extra income to do things like send their children to school, improve their home and provide them with a better diet.\u00c2\u00a0 AND this impoverished family was able to become a significant “giver” when it passed on the gift by giving the first offspring from their pig to another impoverished family. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Passing on the gift\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is an important part of the Heifer International program.
