Members of New Horizons United Methodist Church were a part of the 2011 Missouri Conference Heifer International tour, led by Roger Jespersen, to Perryville and Little Rock, Arkansas. Little Rock is the international headquarters for Heifer International and Perryville is the location of the Heifer International educational ranch.<\/p>\n

We are grateful to members from New Horizons for sharing their experience in this MissionCast. Adults as well as youth have a great experience at the ranch. Often youth stay in the global village where typical homes from various countries have been built. All of the homes are modest; some of them are urban slum dwellings; others are dwellings of the rural very poor. It is an experience that youth always remember. For more information about arranging for a tour for adults from your congregation or an overnight experience for your youth call the Office of Creative Ministries at 573-474-7155.
