100. MissionCast – Celebrating 100 Consecutive Weeks

This week we celebrate 100 consecutive episodes of MissionCast being posted to the Internet.  Audrey Phelps, on the Office of Creative Ministries Staff shares the various ways to view MissionCast.  It takes two to three minutes a week to learn about how the congregations of the Missouri United Methodist Churches are reaching out in mission.  Since MissionCast is a podcast it may be downloaded to your computer, iPhone, Blackbury or other portable communications system automatically each Monday morning when a new episode is posted.  Sit back and let Audrey tell you all about it for the next three minutes.

99. Seminary Student Schalorships in Mozambique – Carol Kreamer & Tom Mitchell

Congregations, Sunday school classes, United Methodist Men’s groups, and many other groups and individuals have been experiencing the joy of helping to  grow the United Methodist Church in Mozambique by offering to scholarship seminary students.  Missouri has answered the challenge of supporting every United Methodist seminary student in Mozambique with a scholarship of $600 a year.  In February a new class will be entering seminary offering more opportunities to support a student preparing for ministry.  In this MissionCast Carol Kreamer, Director of the Mozambique Initiative, and Tom Mitchell, chair of the Mozambique Initiative tell us about this rewarding ministry opportunity open to congregations, groups and individuals in Missouri.You can sign up to support a student online by going to www.moumethodist.org/mi or by calling the Mozambique Initiative office at 636-271-4455.
