151. Stories From Returning Haiti Volunteers

Giving Online

Volunteers serving in Haiti at the time of the earthquake share their memories in the UMTV (United Methodist Communications) video that we are using with their permission.

There will be a great need for volunteers to help rebuild in Haiti once the initial crisis has settled. At this time, it is not safe or possible for volunteers to go. The country is in crisis with severe lack of fuel, food and water. There are significant transportation and security challenges. The General Board of Global Ministries will be working with the Methodist Church of Haiti and other organizations in providing medical and other services. If you want to volunteer to go to Haiti when the opportunity becomes available, go to www.umocm.com and fill out the survey for volunteers.

If you have specific questions please call or email Audrey Phelps at the Office of Creative Ministries.  Phone 573-474-7155  Email: phelps@umocm.com
